Qi Garden Acupuncture

Sandra is a Registered Acupuncturist (RAc) with the College of Complementary Health Practitioners of BC (CCHPBC). She earned her Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturist designations in 2013 from the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CITCM) in Calgary, Alberta.

She has also been certified in NADA (National Acupuncture Detox Association) and has volunteered at a women’s shelter, where she provided weekly acupuncture treatments to support individuals through drug and alcohol detox. Sandra has also volunteered for the MS Society as well as Acupuncturists without Borders.

As a general practitioner, Sandra helps treats a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders (such as back, shoulder, and knee pain), insomnia, menopause, infertility, migraines, addictions, menstrual irregularities, digestive issues and much more.

WHAT TO EXPECT In your initial session, we’ll delve into questions about each body system to gain a comprehensive understanding of your health. Chinese medicine aims to address the root cause of ailments, treating the underlying issues rather than just the symptoms. Sandra identifies patterns of disharmony, which occur when Qi and blood flow are obstructed, leading to discomfort and illness. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine work to restore balance and promote the smooth flow of blood and Qi throughout the body.

During treatment, many clients experience deep relaxation and may even drift off to sleep. Acupuncture needles are thin, sterile, and disposable, causing minimal discomfort. Most patients report a heightened sense of well-being following their session.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK: For your first appointment booked online, it’s recommended to schedule 2-4 consecutive weekly sessions, as availability fills up quickly. This approach allows for the cumulative effects of acupuncture to take hold, with each session building upon the last. While a single treatment may provide relief, ongoing sessions are crucial for sustained improvement, particularly for chronic conditions.
